These are wood-plastic composite products. This raw material consists of two parts - polymers and wood (usually sawdust or wood flour). The appearance of wood-plastic composite products with a soft and smooth surface, smelling of wood, is no different from natural wood. Wood-plastic composite products are widely used in rainy and waterlogged areas and are valued for their unique combination of high surface hardness, resistance to water and UV rays, and low maintenance.

Plastic (window PVC), wood (wood dust/ground wood) and additives are used for the production of InoWood wood-plastic composite material. Depending on the purpose of the product, the composition of the InoWood material, expressed as a percentage, contains ~50 percent. wood fiber and about 50 percent. polymers (including various stabilizing additives - lubricants, fungicides, antioxidants, UV filters, stabilizers). This composition leads to increased resistance to moisture, mechanical damage, mold or fire. 100% recyclable raw material

Properties of BIO composite raw material

The processing of wood and polymers by extrusion (squeezing) determines the long-term durability of the profiles and their environmental friendliness. Finishing elements that smell of natural wood and whose surfaces are almost indistinguishable from it are mostly used for exterior work. Due to their long-lasting properties, composite products are becoming more and more popular in exteriors of public spaces, InoWood's WPC profiles have successfully established themselves in public projects in Lithuania and other countries.

The raw material of "InoWood" BIO composite consists of two equal parts - recycled plastic and wood dust. This composite has properties of both materials. The appearance of wood-plastic composite products with a soft and smooth surface and the smell of wood practically does not differ from natural wood, so this material is often called "eternal wood" due to its excellent aesthetic and operational properties. High or low density plastics - polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, as well as recycled plastic - can be used for the production of the composite. Another component can be wood waste, wood dust, sawdust, cellulose, ground wood, straw. This composition results in increased resistance to moisture, mechanical damage, mold, and fire. Our products - decking boards, siding, various fasteners - are appreciated not only for their simple installation, but also for their simple maintenance.

The appearance and physical properties of the final product depend on the composition of the wood-plastic composite. Our biocomposite consists of:

50% wood flour / 50% plastic. This is the most optimal composition ratio of wood-plastic composite, because the final product looks like wood, and the plastic used for the filler ensures reliability and durability. PVC (polyninyl chloride) is usually used in such a mixture, it is the best and most reliable plastic for exterior use, and this is very important for terraces;

60% wood flour / 40% plastic . Due to the higher amount of wood in the final product, its performance deteriorates, the material is less dense and such a decking board will be more prone to swelling and at the same time more fragile. Due to the insufficient density of the material, it is necessary to densify the fastening framework, which affects the total cost of the entire system.

For the production of wood-plastic composite terrace board, plastics must be used, thanks to which the shape and corresponding physical properties are given to the final product. Decking boards are produced by extrusion and usually polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polyethylene (HDPE) can be used to make a decking board.

Properties of plastics used in the production of wood-plastic terrace boards:

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) – terrace board is durable, scratch-resistant, stable, non-slip, non-flammable, color-fast.

Polyethylene - the terrace board is prone to wear and quite slippery, a denser framework is required during installation.

Since the material contains natural wood fibers , the color saturation and contrast may change under the influence of the sun and humidity and stabilizes within 6-8 weeks.

Special fasteners are used to install the products, and nails and wood screws are not visible on the mounting surface. Even after several years, the appearance of the boards will not change.

The terrace board system "InoDeck" is provided with a 5-year warranty and an additional special 25-year warranty against rotting.

Color Palette

InoWood products are produced in six main colors, but if necessary, wood-plastic composite products can be made in a wide variety of colors.

The most popular standard colors are: anthracite (color code - 09), brown (color code - 10) and gray (color code - 08). Products in standard colors are produced within 1-3 weeks, and the production term for non-standard colors is agreed individually with each customer.

The raw material of the wood-plastic composite contains natural wood fibers, so it is understandable that the color saturation can change under the influence of the sun and moisture. After installation, color saturation - depth usually stabilizes within 6-8 weeks depending on weather conditions, and there may be slight changes in color saturation in each batch.
